We began by writing out 3 different recipes, all with very different approaches to creating the perfect curry flavor. The thing about creating the perfect recipe is that everyone has their own approach. It is an art, not a science. There are many correct ways to create an amazing recipe, and each is as good as the next. We spent over a month creating test batches, comparing notes, trying new combinations, and, of course, eating popcorn. In total, we made more than 50 gallons of popcorn before we got it right!

Here at KuKuRuZa, we are absolute perfectionists, so we won't ever send something out the door until we feel that it is the best it can be. Development of a flavor requires input of everyone in the company. We try to get as much feedback as possible so that we can perfect the flavor every time.

We tried many types of curry powder, curry blends, and creative additions, and in the end, we decided to create our own curry recipe, based on our experience. Hand blending our own curry has given us the opportunity to provide just the right amount of salt and spice, allowing us to create the perfect curry popcorn.
