New Year’s has always been a time to look forward and set new goals for the year ahead. We have some goals that we’d like to set, but we’d also like to take a moment to appreciate some of the really great things that have happened to us in 2013.

The most noteworthy achievements were probably opening a store in Tokyo and a store in Bellevue, WA. We continue to be awed by the wonderful reaction in the communities where we open new stores. Our Bellevue store was overwhelmed with people wishing us well, expressing love for our product and local business, and telling us that they’d never had such good popcorn before. In Tokyo, we were stunned by 2 hour lines from open to close every day! We are so grateful for all of our customers who continue to support us as we grow.

We had some exciting internal achievements as well. Our small kitchen in the Seattle store became too small to produce everything we need, so we moved a portion of our production to a new building in the International District, just outside of Downtown Seattle. With the move came new responsibilities and positions, so we were able to offer promotions to 7 members of our dedicated and hardworking staff.

We are so proud of every member of our team, from the customer service and fulfillment staff all the way to the management team, for working together to achieve everything that we’ve done this year.

Moving into next year, we look forward to a year of continued growth, and are setting goals to help guide us through the next 12 months.

This year, we are going to create the most exciting line of seasonal flavors we’ve ever had before. We’re starting off with our Sparkling Strawberry, which actually bubbles in your mouth!

We are going to help to grow the local economy, with more local stores, and more international stores. We’ve already gotten started on this goal…Our first store in Egypt is set to open in the beginning of 2014. To learn more about franchise opportunities, visit our Gourmet Popcorn Franchise page.

We’re going to have lots of fun all year long! This one isn’t a hard one, but it doesn’t hurt that we’ve paired with SeaFair for their 65^th Anniversary. SeaFair is a big part of Seattle, and we are so excited to be a part of it!
